Accessibility considerations in design are essential to ensuring that individuals of all abilities are not excluded from participating in the digital economy. Accessibility is especially important on the upload page of peer-to-peer (P2P) e-commerce platforms, as it serves as the primary entry point for users to independently list products and services. This study adopted a sequential mixed-methods research design across three distinctive segments: (1) a comparative audit assessing the accessibility compliance of leading P2P platforms in Nigeria; (2) the iterative design and development of an accessible upload page prototype; and (3) user testing of the prototype with individuals of diverse abilities. Phase 1 findings revealed widespread compliance failures across audited Nigerian platforms, notably missing field labels, inadequate color contrast, unannounced dynamic status updates, and broken keyboard navigation. Guided by these insights, a prototype upload page was developed using user-centered design approaches and WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Usability testing with 20 participants, including screen reader users, yielded an average System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 74.75, placing the prototype within the "Good" usability range. The study demonstrates that integrating Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 standards into P2P interface workflows significantly removes usage barriers and fosters digital inclusion.
